Frank de Groodt, born in ElectroCity Utrecht, Holland, released material as Optic Crux, The Operator, Pieces of a Pensive State of Mind and Sonar Bass.

He is known for his up compromising and pounding rhythms and spacey atmospheres he derives from his many analogue synths.

He is also involved with Random XS, partly as member and as a live performer. Together with Arno Peeters (Spasms) he works under the name Urban Electro.
